Karen joined Hogans in 2011, before becoming a partner in 2018.

Her extensive Big4 accountancy experience has enabled her to develop a wealth of knowledge that spans across many industries.  Having 25 years’ experience in the industry and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2007.   

Karen is Waikato born and bred.  Her husband Iain, originally from Scotland and a high school teacher, enjoy spending their spare time in Raglan, having built their forever home there during COVID. Together they have a blended family of three children and two grandchildren.  

Karen likes to be an active member in the local community, dedicating time when able to volunteer at the Raglan tourist information center and Creative Market.   She enjoys the beach life, travelling, sailing, family time and being involved in all endeavors related to fitness.
